Tayross visited a property in Fulham this week, they discovered that the front bay window needed to be rebuilt.

This is because the bressummer, a common form of support for brickwork above bay windows, had deteriorated at the load-bearing end of the beam.

This necessitated the replacement of the bressummer. As building surveyors, TAYROSS ASSOCIATES LTD was able to give a cost estimate for the replacement and this was then used to negotiate with the seller.

Bressummers are an easy structural default to miss. The cost of the replacement in the instance, because of associated items, was in the region of £9000.00
