Work Type: Loft conversion, roof terrace and internal alterations.
We were appointed by the Building Owners to notify all of the Adjoining Owners of the proposed works. The Adjoining Owners' properties were mid-terraced houses based in Fulham within the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, close to Chelsea, Putney and Hammersmith.
Following discussions with both of the Adjoining Owners regarding the proposed works and the options available to them under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996. One of the Adjoining Owners chose to appoint us to act as their Agreed Surveyor and the other did not respond to the Party Wall Notices served nor the additional Notice under Section 10(4), this meant that we had to appoint a Surveyor on their behalf.
Shortly after a site visit to carry out the Schedules of Condition, our Party Wall Surveyors prepared the Party Wall Awards which were served in a timely manner, allowing the Building Owners to proceed with their works and all neighbourly relations maintained.
